BrevAll Technologies Helps SMBs Benefit from Significant Tax Deduction
IRC Section 179 gives businesses a tax break on new technologies that increase productivity and boost their bottom line.

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS – DATE – BrevAll Technologies, a leading managed technology services provider, is helping customers take advantage of an updated and underutilized IRS tax code that can result in a sizable tax deduction for small and mid-size businesses, the company announced today.

Under Section 179 of the IRS tax code, businesses can deduct the price of qualifying equipment and/or software purchased or leased during the tax year. Essentially, the incentive was created by the U.S. government to encourage businesses to invest in new equipment and technologies.

“We were stunned to find out that so many of our customers are not taking advantage of Section 179,” stated Paul Enloe, CEO of BrevAll Technologies. “Considering the tax break, there’s never been a better to time for businesses to upgrade their technology. From making sure their equipment qualifies for the deduction, to ensuring it’s put into service by the December 31 deadline, we help our customers every step of the way so they can reap the benefits from this program.”

The Section 179 Tax Deduction limit on qualifying business equipment is $1 million, up $500,000 from last year. The phase-out threshold on qualifying equipment purchases is $2.5 million, up $1 million from 2017. While every transaction is different and tax professionals should be consulted on specific situations, the potential rewards of this program should serve as the motivation business owners need to invest in new technologies that give their company a competitive advantage for years to come.

“Our goal is to bring our customers technology that enhances their productivity, and more importantly, increases their bottom-line,” said Enloe. “That approach has contributed largely to our success over the years and we plan on continuing to serve our customers in a proactive manner for years to come.”
